The Times newspaper has backed the price comparison and switching website uSwitch.com as the best website for home phone comparisons.
In an article discussing the best ways in which consumers can save their money by using the internet, staff writer Matthew Wall wrote: "To find the best deal for your home phone, head to www.uswitch.com, which gives a price comparison service for landline deals."
Mr Wall went on to explain that the website was easy to use, with the consumer simply needing to provide an idea of how and when they use their home phone before the website provides them with a list of the cheapest suppliers.
Mr Wall also recommends using voice over internet (VoIP) technology where possible as this can also lower phone bills. uSwitch.com could also come in useful here, as it can help consumers find the best broadband supplier.
