A number of the UK's home phone providers are not delivering on customer service, it is claimed.
New research from uSwitch.com shows 59% of home phone customers are happy with the service they receive, although less than half believe their provider has the best deal for their needs.
Furthermore, the research suggests that Sky is the best provider, coming first in eight out of the ten categories for assessment.
"With providers falling down on customer service, value for money and ensuring consumers are getting a good deal, clearly there is still far more to be done," comments Jason Glynn, Communications Expert at uSwitch.com.
He adds that people could save money by switching provider, which is a very simple process and could save them around £250 a year.
Earlier this month, Ofcom announced it was to provide clearer advice on the costing of calls made to 0870 numbers.
