Fixed line customers are being advised to consider bundled packages offering home phone and mobile phone services in one tariff. According to FinancialAdvice.co.uk, families can save money on their phone bills by signing up to a bundled deal. The website points out that almost all UK households have a landline connection and many also have several mobile phone contracts signed by different family members. By taking out a bundled deal which offers a landline, mobile phone agreements and in some cases broadband internet all on the same network, families could make significant savings. "If you have one landline and one mobile the difference may not be enormous, but if you have one landline, broadband and a number of mobile phones the savings can literally add up to hundreds of pounds a year," the website claims. Virgin Media said recently that it increased the number of triple-play customers signed up to its cable television, landline and broadband package in the second quarter of this year. They now represent 53% of all Virgin Media subscribers. The company also offers a quadruple-play deal, which includes mobile phone contracts.
