Ensure home insurance covers Valentine's gifts
Jacky Brown at Sheilas' Wheels home insurance said: "Not having ample insurance cover straight away could take the romance out of anyone's Valentine's weekend in the event of loss, damage or theft of a new jewellery gift."
She noted that this could happen either at home or when out and about, suggesting that personal possessions insurance is of utmost importance.
RIAS recently found that homes across the country may be underinsured as the value of gold has increased considerably over recent months.
It revealed that around 16.6 million homes may not have adequate home insurance.
