<div class="rxbodyfield" xmlns:o="urn:www.microsoft.com/office" xmlns:st1="urn:www.microsoft.com/smarttags" xmlns:st2="urn:www.microsoft.com/smarttags2" xmlns:w="urn:www.microsoft.com/word" xmlns:x="urn:www.microsoft.com/excel"><p>Vodafone has teamed up with popular internet website YouTube to bring its customers the video-sharing experience on their mobile phones.</p><p>It is believed the agreement will allow Vodafone customers in the UK to view YouTube videos on their handsets, just as they would be able to on their computers.</p><p>They will be able to upload videos from their mobile phones onto their account and forward any links that they want to share with family and friends.</p><p>Frank H Rovekamp, Global Chief Marketing Officer at Vodafone, commented: "Today's announcement with YouTube further expands the range of internet services we're bringing to the mobile, introducing a seamless experience that allows customers to engage with user generated content on the move.</p><p>"Through attracting the most popular internet brands onto Vodafone mobile devices we will continue to ensure our customers can access and share the best entertainment anytime and anywhere."</p><p>The rapid success of YouTube, which only launched in February 2005, was confirmed when the website was bought by Google for £883 million in October 2006.</p><p>Vodafone's partnership with YouTube arrives hot on the heels of its exclusive deal with another user-generated internet phenomenon, MySpace, which will allow its customers to access and update their MySpace webpages from their handsets.</p><p>The mobile giant also announced the launch of its eBay mobile service last week, which will allow users to search and browse for items in real time, bid on items or purchase fixed-price items.
