24 April 2008

A new contract has been signed between Sony BMG and Nokia that will see the latter offer music from the record company's roster.

When Comes With Music launches from Nokia, consumers will now be able to download records from a plethora of famous names.

Current artists tied down to Sony include Bob Dylan, Britney Spears, Michael Jackson and Leona Lewis.

Executive Vice President and Head of the Nokia Entertainment and Communities firm Tero Ojanpera was excited by the move and said that customers will see strong new services.

"As one of the leading major music companies in the world, our collaboration with Sony BMG means we can offer a huge range of fantastic music from international and local artists via Comes With Music," he commented.

Head of Global Digital Business at Sony BMG Thomas Hesse added that users will "sample" a great deal a new music via the route.

The Comes With Music service was announced by Nokia last December and said that "unlimited" downloads should be available when it is introduced.
