New research has suggested that pregnant women who use mobile telephones may see that their children have worse behaviour than other kids.
The study undertaken by the university of California, Los Angeles and Aarhus in Denmark found that if mums use a mobile two or three times a day then offspring could develop behavioural problems, reports the Independent.
According to the findings, those who used handsets when pregnant are 54% more likely to see that their children have disruptive behaviour.
But the researchers said that the results must be taken with an element of "caution" and that mothers may pay less attention to their children if they are on a mobile regularly.
However, they added that if the findings are reliable then they will have far-reaching implications for the medical world.
