UK sales of T-Mobile's G1 handset with Google are expected to reach 100,000, just six months after its release.
The mobile phone provider also revealed it would be following up its success by launching a second Android-based device later this year.
Richard Warmsley, Head of Internet and Entertainment at T-Mobile, revealed that nine out of ten users would recommend the handset to a friend.
He believes this is due to its "great user experience, web browsing via T-Mobile's award winning Broadband network, the value a customer receives on our 18-month price plans and G1 features such as the slide-out QWERTY keyboard".
The handset is available on the T-Mobile Combi and Flext price plans, with the most popular revealed to be the Combi30, which comes complete with 700 minutes and unlimited texts.

Earlier this week, T-Mobile announced a partnership with Virgin Trains to offer high-speed wireless connections on its services.
