MBNA puts an end to credit card cheques
Greg Reed, Chief Marketing Officer for Bank of America Europe Card Services, said: "This decision is part of a number of changes we will be making over the coming months as we seek to offer better choice, added value and simplicity for our customers."
Customers have been informed that they can still take a look at their facilities using their credit cards, which can also be used to make balance transfers.
On September 25th 2009, the UK Domestic Cheque Guarantee Card Scheme announced the closure of the scheme for June 30th 2011, with mixed responses from consumer groups.
