Over 50s taking advantage of upper Isa limit, poll shows
Some 84% of Investment Isa subscribers put their money into equities last year, the Barclays Wealth data shows.
Commenting on the findings, Head of Investments at Barclays Stockbrokers Barbara-Ann King explained: "It is also encouraging to see clients understand the value of a diversified portfolio.
"Almost three-quarters of investors (72%) spread their ISA across various products and asset classes."
Earlier this week, a Co-operative Financial Services survey suggested that 13% of investors will put their money into an ethical or sustainable Isa this year.
This is far higher than the current 1% market share.
The level of ethical Isa investments has also increased by two and a half times over the past decade, from £2.8 billion to £6.8 billion.
