The internet is officially the place to shop around for the best personal loans, according to new research.
Financial experts have been advising consumers to look around the web for the most suitable loan for some time and now it appears their advice is beginning to pay dividends.
Research from NOP World Finance and Sainsbury's Bank has revealed an ever-increasing number of people looking for secured personal loans online.
The number of adults arranging financial services online is expected to increase from 3 .3 million to 4.2 million by the end of 2005, the study suggests.
As a result, consumer purchasing of financial services online is also set to increase by 27 per cent during the course of the year.
"We are seeing an increasing number of people turning to the web to purchase financial services products," confirmed Derek Bottom, deputy chief executive at Sainsbury's Bank, who then added that "busier lives" were also attributable for the rise.
With low interest rates, great deals and the ease of modern online applications it seems there has never been a better time to take out a secured personal loan.
