Financial experts and Help the Aged have revealed that people aged over 65 can save themselves pounds by shopping online for financial products.
In addition to making financial savings when looking online for competitive loan deals, grey surfers may also find the experience more comfortable.
As financial expert Richard Mason explains, using a home computer enables the customer to compare products in a non-threatening environment.
As part of Help the Aged 'HUG' month (Helping Unite Generation) and Mr Mason explains that young people can play their part by guiding pensioners.
"We always encourage older people to be more internet-savvy when researching financial products but this month we are urging younger people to do their bit in helping older family members take advantage of the good value deals to be found on the internet," he explained.
