People in the UK are increasingly looking to personal and secured loans in order to ensure they can afford quicker health care.
A new survey by Norwich Union Healthcare revealed that 74 per cent of GPs whose patients had looked abroad for medical treatment, thought it was to avoid lengthy UK waiting lists.
The most popular destinations for medical treatment include India, Costa Rica and America.
The online survey also found that 83 per cent would consider going to another country for surgery if it would be quicker than in the UK.
