New research has revealed that Britons are neglecting to carry out essential home repairs, but a personal loan could see help see to the problem before it's too late.
Carried out by Direct Line Home Response, the study found that a third of people wait more than a year before completing necessary repairs on their house.
Furthermore, one in ten put it off for more than three years.
Plumbing tops the to do list with 14 per cent, followed by rewiring needed by eight per cent and roof repairs by six per cent.
Spokeswoman Kate Syred said: "Not carrying out essential repairs could cause more damage and expense in the long term though and we'd advise everyone to do a yearly home MOT in the same way they would with a car to make sure that everything is in order.
"For the those that don't have the skills to do this themselves, it's worth getting in the experts for peace of mind."
