While it is tempting to book the separate parts of a holiday separately because of the cost saving benefits of such a deal, holiday makers have been warned that they would not be entitled to a refund should the operator or airline go bust.
The warning comes from the Trading Standards Agency, which has stated that travellers on such a holiday would not be entitled to a refund or compensation if the operator or airline went bust.
In the UK, flight and accommodation deals are protected by the Air Travel Organisers' Licensing (ATOL), which allows travellers refunds or flights home in the event of insolvency.
However, a safer bet regarding compensation can be a package deal, though this can also be more expensive. In order to guarantee peace of mind, a carefully selected loan can help get the package deal you need.
