A survey has found that British people like culture as much as lager when going on holiday.
The report, from the Halifax, says that holidaymaking Brits are not as stereotypical as people usually think.
According to the study, Britons were the nationality most likely to speak to locals in their own language, and were second only to the French as being the nation most likely to sample local cooking and delicacies
Brits are also the third nationality most likely to show an interest in local history and culture, as well as mixing with people from other countries.
Unfortunately, many stereotypes appear to be grounded in reality. British holidaymakers are the most likely to get sunburn, over-indulge on booze, have a holiday romance and get into trouble with the local police.
Whatever tickles your fancy, remember that a great way to fund a holiday is through a loan.
