Loans customers should consider new book

12 September 2005

The Citizens Advice Bureau and Penguin have published the Citizens Advice Handbook, a new reference book for tackling everyday problems.

The charity, which is launching the book to coincide with its Advice Week 2005, hopes that the 620-page paperback will help citizens tackle issues ranging from money and consumer concerns to legal matters, employment disputes, discrimination and civil rights.

The book's credit and debt section has practical, reliable, and independent advice on debt and good practice to follow when considering taking out a loan.

Citizens Advice chief executive David Harker said: "For most people, finding their way round the labyrinth of the countless laws, regulations, codes of practice, guidelines and procedures that govern our everyday life can be a nightmare - especially if it's urgent and you've got a crisis on your hands.

"Whatever query you have, this book will help you. Whatever problem you're facing, this book will show you how to set about solving it."
