A new community venture is to be offered for people in Chard, Somerset, who have debt problems, which could those with loans.
Fore Street's Christian's Against Poverty group will open up the advice service in May, including counselling and management opportunties, reports the Chard & Illminster News.
And Forefront Community Centre is to operate the facility after gaining a grant at the Opportunity Chard project.
Janet Litton, Debt Centre Manager, claimed that people are likely to see the benefits of the service fairly quickly because there is no real alternative.
She told the publication: "At the moment the nearest facility that offers debt advice is the [one] in Yeovil so the new centre will be a huge benefit to people in Chard and surrounding areas."
R3 recently said that the drop in the number of insolvencies seen in England and Wales last year hides the full extent of debt problems, reports Business Credit Magazine.
