Total UK lending to individuals in July amounted to £10.9 billion, according to new figures from the Bank of England (BoE).
These new figures represent an increase on the June lending figures and also an increase on the previous six-month average.
On top of this, the number of loans approved for house purchases was higher than in June at 120,000 while loan approvals for remortgages and other purposes were lower than their June levels at 96,000 and 73,000 respectively.
The 12-month growth rate increased to 10.5% while the three-month annualised growth rate increased also to 10.8%.
Net other loans and advances rose by £1.0 billion in July, which was higher than the £0.8 billion increase in June.
There was also £9.8 billion in net lending secured on dwellings, which was above the June increase and that of the previous six-month average.
