EDF Energy cuts prices for second time
"In these difficult times we are pleased to be able to offer our customers further price reductions," said Martin Lawrence, Managing Director, Energy Sourcing and Customer Supply at EDF Energy.
He stressed that energy customers would be needing all the help they could get following one of the coldest winters of recent times.
A typical gas-only customer will now have seen a minimum of a 6.9% fall in their bills since October 2009.
Other energy suppliers to have reduced costs over recent days include E.ON, First:Utility and Scottish and Southern Energy.
