Around 10,000 properties in Scotland have now had their water supply restored, after being left without water yesterday following a burst pipe.
Properties in Dundee were left without water when contractors cut through a main water pipeline.
Ken Hutchison, Scottish Water's general manager, said: "All affected areas now have their water supplies restored following the major burst on a strategic main on Monday.
"We apologise to all customers who were affected by this, and re-assure them that every step was taken to get supplies restored as quickly as possible. We fully appreciate Monday's water loss has been a difficult time for those affected, and we thank them for their patience and understanding during this period."
He added that "the size and nature of the main meant the burst took longer than anticipated to repair".
More than 30 static water tanks each holding 1135 litres of water were deployed at affected areas around the city by Scottish Water.
