CC Water urges consumers to get involved

6 February 2007

A consultation to discuss changes and developments with regard to the national programme for representing water users in England and Wales is taking comments and questions from the public and the Consumer Council for Water (CC Water) is urging consumers to get involved.

With the deadline of February 19th fast approaching, CC Water is appealing to consumers who want to challenge issues like value for money, more efficient problem solving and promoting being water-wise to make their voice heard over the next two weeks.

This is the perfect opportunity for members of the public who are frustrated with inaccurate billing, continual flooding, sewage problems or concerns about the environmental impact to provide valuable input for the water industry.

Dame Yve Buckland, Chair of the Consumer Council for Water, said: "We have set ourselves an ambitious programme of activities, but one which focuses on consumers' core priorities. We welcome people's input to our thinking on these priorities and will consider all feedback we receive."

Consumers who want to get in touch with their suggestions should write to Andrew Marsh at the Consumer Council for Water, Victoria Square House, Victoria Square, Birmingham B2 4AJ or email him at andrew.marsh@ccwater.org.
