Thames Water launches new fund

11 June 2008

A new fund has been launched by Thames Water in a bid to offer greater support to some consumers that need help.

The money will be split up between those who have faced difficulties in the past and on various projects in that benefit local areas, reports the Worthing Herald.

David, Chief Executive at the firm, highlighted that the company has had a good year and wants to pump some of its success back into the pockets of consumers.

"We have chosen a diverse range of projects that we know are important to our customers and stakeholders and that will bring benefits across our entire geographical area," he commented.

He suggested that people who find it hard to get financial assistance via other means will be given a good level of help over this channel.

In related news, it was recently revealed that prices of supplies at Northumbrian Water may be about to be raised.
