Plusnet news

Polish customers are being offered a new service by ISP Plusnet tailored specifically to their needs. PlusNet has established a website which greets Polish people in their native language and then allows them to sign up through pages written in their own language.

In addition they've created a helpline for Polish customers at their Sheffield call centre, whilst an online Polish user forum also allows consumers to exchange information.

"With the Polish community in the UK now numbering more than 750,000 people (two per cent of the global Polish population) we're addressing their needs in a way that makes sense for them" said PlusNet spokesman Neil Armstrong.

This is the first step made by an ISP to cater for the growing number of EU nationals living in this country, and is sure to followed by others. And as mentioned in our news on 22nd June, a greater percentage of ethnic minorities in Briton are using broadband than the national average.

So could we be on our way to multilingual ISPs? Let us know what you think by leaving your comments below.
