Once again we here at Top 10 Broadband have been working our socks off to help provide you with the best broadband comparison site on the web, and without being too smug, we think we’re doing a pretty good job too.

We’ve included some pretty big updates too our site, with the most notable change being separate pages for individual ISPs, which you can see by clicking the logos on the home page. These pages are a great way of seeing all the packages offered by a single ISP, as well as seen all the extras that come with each package.

However we’re not stopping there. Coming soon we’ll be making the site more personalised with customer reviews for each ISP. We would love to hear your thoughts (good as well as bad) so we can better help other customers/or yourself make the right decisions choosing a broadband provider. It would be fantastic to see your comments, particularly good ones, as the temptation is to only comment when you’ve had a bad experience. We will let you know as soon as it’s live.

Back to May’s news summary where once again the news has been coming thick and fast. Most big stories featured BT, as once again they have become the largest broadband provider in the UK, overtaking Virgin Media in the process. Other big stories involving telecoms giant concerned their new partnerships with the Post Office (providing broadband services under the Post Office name) and Sony (providing broadband services for the Sony PSP).

BT are also aiming to tackle Virgin Media and Sky in the television stakes as they re-released BT Vision (part of their 21CN project) with a heavy marketing and advertising campaign this month.

However it was not all good news for BT when it was confirmed that they had to pay out compensation to Carphone Warehouse over some of the connectivity issues regarding TalkTalk.

In other big stories, the TV carnival that is Big Brother has started again, and it is being sponsored by none other than Virgin Media. Virgin have been using excepts of Big Brothers from overseas with humourous subtitles to advertise their products. Love or loathe the indents, they are certainly getting Virgin Media back in the public eye.

Finally, the ever-continuing and increasingly public sale of Pipex continued with Tiscali the latest company to be linked to the Buckinghamshire based ISP. Whether or not Pipex will actually be sold remains to be seen. Who knows what June and the Summer months will bring?
