UK businesses and organisations are increasingly opting for 3G mobile broadband, new research has revealed.
According to figures from market intelligence company Rhetorik, more than half of the 371 organisations surveyed already subscribe to 3G mobile broadband.
Meanwhile, around 15 per cent have stolen a march on competitors by opting for faster HSPA-based services.
The survey also revealed that the prohibitive cost of services is what prevents firms from using mobile broadband, with 30 per cent reporting that they would use more mobile broadband applications if the service was available at a cheaper price.
News of the survey's findings comes as two mobile broadband providers have recently announced improvements to their service.
Three has confirmed it will be offering mobile broadband from a little as £10 per month for 1GB user allowance, while Vodafone this week announced that it is boosting the speed of its service to offer speeds of 7.2 Mbps downstream and 1.44Mbps upstream.
