Consumers who shop around for bundled television, broadband and phone calls deals could be saving themselves up to £500 per year, it has been claimed.
According to a report in the Times, the increasing competition among broadband providers to create ever cheaper and more attractive packages is resulting in huge potential savings for UK consumers.
In particular the article cites the example of BT' Together Option 1 for your phone and Plus Net Option 2 for broadband, Sky Sports and Setanta, which would see the user paying £875.76 annually for the services.
However, were the same customer to change to Tiscali's package, which includes all three services as well live Premiership football from Setanta, they would be paying just £359.76, the article claims.
The savings to be made make this a" great time" to be considering triple play packages, according to Aamir Baloch of Firsthelpline.com.
He told the Times:" If you havent got a bundled deal yet, it is worth calling your providers to see if they can offer something better, especially if youve been with one provider for over a year. And if they dont offer you anything, consider moving."
