Vodafone has confirmed that its super-fast mobile broadband services will be accessible from December.

Once operational, the mobile broadband provider will offer users downstream speeds of up to 7.2Mbps, reports.

Meanwhile, upstream speeds are set to stand at around 1.44Mbps, with usage of 3GB per month priced at £29.37 per month.

Initially Vodafone will roll out the services, which employ a mix of 3.5G, HSDPA and HSUPA, to large cities with high population density. Vodafone initially confirmed the launch of the service in August this year.

The launch of the new service comes as Vodafone has come under pressure from rival mobile broadband provider 3, which cut prices for its service earlier this year.
