Non-Sky broadband subscribers are now able to download the broadcaster's shows following the launch of a brand new service.
The Sky Anytime service, which was previously restricted to Sky subscribers only, will enable anyone with a broadband connection to download top-rated shows such as glossy US drama Lost, the evergreen The Simpsons and Cirque du Celbrite for just £2 a throw.
The broadcaster's non-premium shows will also be up for grabs for non-subscribers and are priced £1 per episode.
Meanwhile, for a monthly charge of £5 UK surfers will be able to watch a digested version of Sky's football coverage.
This will include goals footage from the Premier League, as well as action from the Champions League and analysis from Sky's team of pundits.
Sky's director of On Demand Griffin Parry has pledged that the picture quality of downloaded programmes is not far from that of DVDs, the Telegraph reports.
