Tiscali is gearing up for a new advertising campaign focussing on its broadband-based internet TV service.

The UK ISP will launch the campaign in January and has set a target of garnering 200,000 customers for the service by end of next year, the Reuters news agency reports.

Currently, the service is picking up 250 new customers daily, and is on target to a 50,000-strong customer base by the close of 2007, according to Mary Turner, chief executive of Tiscali's UK division. The service was launched by Tiscali in September, using a network which now covers around 55 per cent of the country.

News of the advertising campaign comes as Tiscali was recently named the top performing UK ISP in the third annual Broadband Internet Service Provider Satisfaction Study from JD Power.

Figures from September showed that the firm now has 3 million British customers, some 2 million of which are broadband users.
