NewNet has announced that Cosham, Havant and Gosport will soon have access to its high-speed broadband services.

The news comes after the acquisition of three more local loop unbundling (LLU) exchanges that will allow NewNet to operate in these areas.

It also currently has LLU exchange contracts in operation for Fareham, Portsmouth Central and Portsmouth North and expects to add Reading, Basingstoke and Bracknell by the end of March.

As well as expanding the availability of its service, it will also be offering a new business broadband package, which starts at £31 per month. It will provide unlimited usage within office hours with speeds ranging from 512KB to 24MB.

Peter V Coates-Buglear, NewNet chief executive officer, said: "Through unbundling these exchanges, we are delivering on our commitment to provide super-fast reliable NewNet Direct internet services to the south coast and beyond."

NewNet offers a range of residential and broadband services and has been nominated for four awards at the Internet Service Providers' Association 2008 ceremony, including best consumer and best business broadband.
