Sony Ericsson has unveiled two new mobile broadband dongles which offer dual functionality for users.

As well as offering high-speed mobile broadband, the device also holds a combined M2 Memory Stick Micro and a microSD memory card slot for data storage.

Furthermore, the modem includes a GPS receiver which automatically shows the user's location.

The MD400 and MD400g include a unique swivel antenna which protects the connective point of the USB device.

Launching the product, the company said in a statement: "The MD400 and MD400g are high-performance and stylish devices that enable you to have all your essentials at hand even when you are out of reach from broadband at home or in the office."

The devices are capable of downloading data at a rate of 7.2 Mbps, with an upload speed of 2 Mbps.

Sony Ericsson concluded by insisting that the new devices would cater for both professional and domestic users.

The company also offer a number of PC cards designed for mobile broadband.
