BT has announced that its BT Vision packages are set to come with a free offering of Setanta Sports 1 included.

The news is set to interest the firm's 4.4 million broadband customers - those who have taken BT's Option 1 deal on broadband are entitled to a HomeHub at not extra charge when they sign up for a BT Vision package.

Football fans north of the border will also be excited by the development.

At the home of Scottish football, Hampden Park, BT unveiled an exclusive BT Vision package which will see 28 near-live Scottish Premier League games televised via Setanta.

Dan Marks, BT Vision chief executive, commented: "We've said that BT Vision will be offering the best in all-round entertainment. We now have more to watch than any other on-demand TV service in the country."

BT Vision is available with BT's Total Broadband package, which offers up to 8 Mb download speeds and several other features from £4.95 per month.
