A broadband provider has conducted research which shows that many business travellers feel under to work when on the move.
iBAHN, which provides wired and wireless broadband to hotel lobbies via its partners in the hospitality industry, has found that 72 per cent of those away on business felt under pressure to work as normal when travelling.
While those in the 50 to 59-year-old age group were found to be most likely to try and keep to a disciplined routine while on a business trip, 18 to 29-year-olds were the demographic found to have the most relaxed attitude.
The firm's managing director Graeme Powell suggested that the ease with which business people can get online while on the move may have led to the pressure to get working.
He said: "The traditional approach is to make time on the move using available connectivity, but this often creates more stress and can result in poorer quality work."
