Be Broadband has announced the launch of its 888 promotion which is intended to market the company's Be Value package.

The marketing campaign's name of 888 comes from the fact that customers will be offering 8Mb for £8 for the remainder of 2008, as well as the promotion officially beginning on the August 8th, 2008.

According to Be Broadband, an O2-owned company, the offer usually costs £14 and will be put back to its original pricing plan in the New Year.

The firm's head of marketing, Oli White, commented: "Be value offers an up to 8Mb service for a generation of users for whom broadband is an essential part of their lifestyle, complete with a level of customer service that has earned us a strong reputation among the broadband community."

The Be Value package will come with a Be Box modem, as well as speeds of up to 1.3Mb, and unlimited downloads (fair usage applies) and a free 24-hour support line.
