Dongles are continuing to fly out of the shops, according to the latest figures from one market analyst.

According to GfK mobile broadband sales in the UK stand at over 100,000 per month, reports Mobile News.

Speaking to the news provider, GfK retail and technology business group director, Aaron Rattue, explained: "We have over 500,000 sales between February and June with each month showing growth on the previous one."

3 has enjoyed the biggest share of the UK mobile broadband market so far, selling over half a million USB modems so far.

In other mobile broadband news, the BBC is blocking its video streaming of the 2008 Olympic Games from Beijing in line with the rules set out by the International Olympic Committee (IOC).

This is related to BBC's deal as a UK-only provider - mobile broadband users could in theory be out of the country when viewing BBC Olympic coverage.
