Broadband is one of a number of new platforms which is driving forward the broadcast industry, according to new research.
UK content distributor AmberFin has released results of a survey involving 100 experts which showed 60 per cent felt that the industry has improved its knowledge and use of multiple delivery platforms - including broadband - in the last year,
Also, 70 per cent of respondents said that content owners could still be distributing their content more effectively using broadband and other multiple platforms.
Scott Allen, vice president of marketing at AmberFin, said: "The move to a digital workflow is enabling broadcasters to deliver their content to different screens and devices, creating valuable new revenue streams."
In a blow for IPTV, 57 per cent of those quizzed admitted they would watch more content via the platform if the quality of the service was better.
