Connection news

A successful fashion software business has elected to stay close to its roots in North Yorkshire after being provided with high-speed broadband by Nynet.

Regional development agency Yorkshire Forward and North Yorkshire County Council were aided by European Union funding in setting up Nynet, an organisation which strives to ensure that the region is not left behind by the widespread high-speed broadband roll-out.

Now Visual Retailing, which boasts clients including Macy's, Levi and O'Neil, has taken advantage of the campaign to set up a new base supplied with a high-speed broadband connection.

Colin Liversedge, managing director of Visual Retailing, told the Northern Echo: "We were delighted to be able to keep our operations in North Yorkshire and even more pleased to be situated in such a beautiful rural office space with excellent connectivity."

Nynet has offered the chance for ISPs to supply new broadband services to around 330,000 households and 50,000 SMEs in the region.
