Orange news

Orange has reported a rise in the demand for laptops embedded with mobile broadband technology.

The mobile broadband provider, which started offering laptops pre-installed with the technology and sees such devices as becoming more popular in the future.

Speaking to VNUet, director of devices at Orange, Francois Mahieu, explained he believes customers do not mind only having a choice of one provider, which is sometimes the case when a laptop comes embedded with a SIM.

He said: "We have found a huge appetite from customers who want to talk to a single provider, and we believe a greater number will be connected at the point of sale in future."

Pocket Lint reports that Orange are considering providing care packages to mobile broadband laptop owners, which are similar to those currently available to the firm's mobile phone customers.
