PlusNet has been applauded for its interaction with customers, allowing the provider to tailor its product better to broadband users.

IT news provider Information Age has cited the efforts made by PlusNet to include its customers in processes that would usually be conducted internally.

The publication highlighted the growth of PlusNet's user forums, which have fostered a productive relationship between subscribers and the business itself.

According to Information Age: "PlusNet's user forums allow customers to interact with one another and speak to employees about issues.

"Gradually a group of forum users emerged as an unofficial user group, taking it upon themselves to help out fellow users, testing new products and discussing technical and product issues with the company."

PlusNet was the winner of Broadband Choices' Best Consumer ISP 2008 award.
