Be Broadband has unveiled a special festive offer in the run up to Christmas.

New customers deciding to sign up to the provider will not be charged a subscription fee for the rest of 2008.

But those who are tempted by the bargain should be warned - the offer is only running until December 14th.

The Be Value product comes with speeds of up to 8Mb and unlimited usage - with no connection fee required, Be promises to waive all fees until after New Year.

A free wireless Be Box modem will be included in the offer, which also includes the option of a home webspace.

Meanwhile, the provider has issued a statement to customers that found themselves blocked from looking at a Wikipedia page for the new Scorpions album.

Be said: "The reason that the Wikipedia page in question was blocked appears to be that the Internet Watch Foundation considers that it would be illegal to view it under English law. We are yet to confirm this and we will let our members know why it was blocked as soon as we know."
