Mobile provider 3 has teamed up with Ericsson to develop Europe's first ever 21Mb mobile broadband network.
The two companies will work together to rollout a 21Mb network in Scandinavia which will improve access to music and video content.
Peder Ramel, chief executive of 3 Scandinavia, commented on the project: "We were the first to launch Turbo 3G in the Nordic region and now we are proud to be one of the first operators in the world to offer a speed of 21Mb.
"Ericsson's leading technology will help us boost competitiveness and reach our goal of bringing high-quality communications to our customers."
"With the upgrade to 21Mb, 3 is one of the first operators to offer customers new and richer services at this speed," added Ericsson's Nordi and Baltic president Mikael Baeckstroem.
3 recently announced a series of new mobile broadband tariffs for business customers in the UK. The bundles allow small companies to receive a half price mobile broadband package when choosing a new full-price deal.
