The laptop mobile broadband market is defying the ongoing financial downturn by growing into one of the driving forces of the mushrooming sector.
So says Alan Haze of PC Advisor, who has charted the rise in popularity of the bundles which include a mobile broadband connection along with a portable computer free-of-charge.
Mr Haze believes that the potential demand for the laptop-inclusive deals is such, that they could be the number one type of mobile broadband deal before long.
He commented: "Back in the summer laptop-bundled mobile broadband deals were said to account for nearly 30 per cent of all broadband sales.
"They're now due to completely overtake standalone mobile broadband sales by the end of the year."
Ericsson recently predicted that mobile broadband speeds could increase to as much as 42Mb by the end of 2009.
