BT will provide free Home Hub routers for any customers purchasing any of its Total Broadband packages.

Customers can opt for one of the three Total Broadband offers, starting at a lowly £7.78 per month.

According to BT, the Home Hub offers a wireless range which is twice as expansive as some of its rival devices.

"We understand how frustrating it is for customers not to have a reliable and fast wireless connection when they are using the internet in the home or garden," said Fraser Smeaton of BT Retail Consumer.

He continued: "So we decided to give a free award-winning BT Home Hub which uses the latest N-technology to all BT Total Broadband customers."

Broadband users taking the £7.78 option can expect speeds of up to 8Mb along with parental controls and online security features.
