Fujitsu Siemens Computers (FSC) is the latest manufacturer of laptops to come into line with the GSM Association's (GSMA) initiative to promote 3G broadband-enabled devices.

The company's machines will now bare the mobile broadband service mark which adorns laptops and their packages.

FSC claims to be the only company offering a full range of notebooks offering mobile broadband connectivity.

"Future mobility will require even greater flexibility than we now experience," said FSC head of mobility marketing programs Louis Jouanny. "Our goal is total connectivity and our product portfolio is unique."

While Michael O’Hara, chief marketing officer of the GSMA, welcomes FSC to the group of manufacturers pushing laptop broadband forward.

"We are delighted that Fujitsu Siemens Computers has joined the GSMA's Mobile Broadband Initiative and is committed to changing the way people get online forever," he said.

The initiatives launched by the GSMA, which represents 750 GSM mobile operators across 218 countries and territories, are supported by 200 manufacturers and suppliers.
