Three news

Target Components has been chosen by 3 Mobile as its supplier and distributor of USB modem sticks.

The leading IT distributor has its eye on the fast-growing mobile broadband market, which Analysys Mason predicts will have 148 million users in Europe by the year 2014.

Target will supply the broadband dongles for 3's starter kits, which come with a 12GB download allowance.

"Mobile broadband is something we have been looking at for some time as it fits very well within our product portfolio so we were delighted when Hutchinson approached us," commented Target's purchasing manager, Kelly Burnley.

She went on: "We have seen a massive growth in laptop and netbook sales and customers have been asking us for mobile broadband products for sometime."

Dongle-compatible wireless routers will also be stocked by Target, it has been confirmed
