The use of wireless broadband to connect to the internet when out of the country has become more popular, according to one online travel company.
Expedia says that more Brits are taking advantage of wireless technology to get online when on holiday or away on business.
But the firm had a warning for broadband users who intend to make use of wireless services while travelling to or at a holiday destination.
Expedia's communications director, Alison Couper, said: "Whether at home or abroad it is important for people to be able to go online - whether its to contact friends and family, catch up on work emails or book the next part of their trip.
"It is so important to be aware of the cost of connecting to a wireless network, whether its at airports, cafes and hotels before travelling."
An Expedia study recently found that hotels which are out of the five-star bracket are more likely to offer free wireless access.
