Frequent mobile broadband users should take note of 3's new tariff, announced today (Monday, March 23rd).

The operator is offering a 15GB data allowance for just £15 per month – 50 per cent off from the £30 per month price plan previously in place.

A statement released by the firm indicates that 3 believes the 15Gb limit is sufficient for the usage of most subscribers.

In an illustration of the size of the download allowance, 3 pointed out that 15GB was "5x1,000,000,000 bytes or the equivalent of 15,000 emails, 150 hours of web surfing, 10 half hour video downloads and 480 four minute music tracks".

Adding: "For the rest of us that can be summarised simply as more than enough internet access!"

The package will now be on offer to the general public through 3's online shop and high-street stores.
