Research before you buy - that is the advice imparted with by Broadband Choices' Michael Phillips, who has warned that checking coverage is a must for mobile broadband users.
The Product Director of the price comparison website was speaking in the wake of the news that T-Mobile came top in nine out of 13 3G broadband categories in the recent YouGov study.
Mr Phillips made the point that while T-Mobile would appear to be the best choice for every prospective subscriber, the extent of coverage in a particular area must be considered.
"Although T-Mobile also came top in eight other categories including getting connected, ease of use and download speeds, individual customers should still shop around and do their research before signing a mobile broadband contract," he said.
"Coverage can be patchy in some areas so you should always check each provider's online coverage map to see who has the strongest signal where you live."
YouGov polled 1,958 mobile broadband users for its Dongle Tracker Report.
