Be Broadband customers signing up to the broadband ISP's new 12-month package can save money.

The new price plan brought in by the company offers to waive the £24 connection fee usually charged when signing up to the service.

Up until now, Be had only offered three-month deals, meaning the new option signals a significant change in direction.

A further pledge to giveaway three month's subscription for free adds up to a total saving of £64.50 for those signing up before the end of the month.

"Three months free broadband and no joining fee is a great offer from Be, which is a fast, reliable provider," observed Broadband Choices Product Director Michael Phillips.

While rewarding those that commit to a year-long deal, Be will raise the monthly fee on 24Mb Unlimited and Pro packages by £2.50 per month for those opting for three-month contracts.
